'Top Chef’ Mike Isabella Gets a Cookbook Deal
Top Chef All-Stars runner-up Mike Isabella has signed a deal to publish his first cookbook with Da Capo Lifelong Books in fall 2012. In Flavors from a Jersey Italian, Isabella will reportedly share his favorite homestyle recipes that “speak to the heart and the gut.”

Chronicle Joins iBookstore

Chronicle Books has made digital editions of some of its popular titles available on Apple's iBookstore. Included in the debut list are Cake Pops

by Bakerella($14.99), and Chicken and Egg by Janice Cole ($14.99), which are fixed-format, meaning they retain the elements of the original work, including design, font, illustrations, and layout. Chronicle president Jack Jensen said, “We're excited to bring our distinctive, visually-driven ebook content to the iBookstore. We believe strongly that digital publishing presents a huge opportunity for the future of our industry, and are especially pleased to launch our first fixed-format titles, in all their full-color, typeset glory.”

‘Bon Appétit Desserts’ for iPad

Bon Appétit Desserts: The Cookbook for All Things Sweet and Wonderful is now available today on the iPad. The print book, published in

conjunction with Andrews McMeel Publishing and Bon Appétit, came out in November 2010, made the New York Times bestseller list in December, and was nominated for a 2011 International Association of Culinary Professionals Award in the baking category. The iPad version is available in the iBookstore for $14.99 for a limited time.
