Rich Leaving 'NYT' Publishing Beat

| Reader Comments

Motoko Rich will be leaving the publishing beat for The New York Times in early May. In a memo, the paper's business editor Larry Ingrassia said Rich, along with metro reporter Michael Powell, will be joining the Business Day section to cover the economy. Rich has been covering publishing for four years and has been with the Times since 2003. She had previously worked at The Wall Street Journal and Financial Times. The Times routinely changes its publishing reporter, but no replacement has been named yet.
