Random House Publishing Group president and publisher Gina Centrello is turning over the publisher responsibilities to Susan Kamil. Kamil will remain editor-in-chief of little Random and Dial Press. Tom Perry has also been promoted, named deputy publisher. Perry will also add oversight of RH's classics imprint, Modern Library, to his responsibilities as publisher. In a memo, Centrello said that in running the day-to-day operations of Little Random Kamil "will be a motivating decision maker on all aspects of the publishing process" and praised her for "clear editorial vision to the shaping of the Random House list." Kamil will report to Centrello, and Kate Medina will also still report to Centrello.

As a result of Perry's promotion, Theresa Zoro, who's been bumped up to senior v-p and director of publicity for the Random House Publishing Group, and Sanyu Dillon, will now report to Centrello. Additionally, Susan Corcoran has been promoted to v-p and director of publicity for Ballantine Bantam Dell.

Kamil, who edited hits like The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Society, will continue to edit a handful of books every year, including Sophie Kinsella's bestselling Shopaholic series.
