After news broke last night that Apple founder Steve Jobs had succumbed to pancreatic cancer, Simon & Schuster has bumped up the pub date of its forthcoming biography, Steve Jobs. Walter Isaacson's book has been pushed from November 21 to October 24 and, as of this writing, is #1 on Amazon's bestseller list (thanks to pre-order requests). S&S, which would not release an announced first printing on the title, confirmed the book will be embargoed.
Isaacson has written numerous biographies of figures rangning from Henry Kissinger to Albert Einstein.
