The WEKA Holding closed fiscal 2016 with increasing revenues. The group revenues adapted to the company’s performance in 2014, where revenues also accounted for 235 million EUR, compared to 232 million EUR during 2015. Furthermore the company’s equity ratio of 60% stood flat to the prior year.

Ownership, Mergers & Acquisition, Internal Organization

WEKA Group is solely owned by Werner Mützel and his family. During 2016 WEKA Holding acquired 80% of shares of webculture, a company specialized in video-based online learning, located in Mannheim. Under the brand name SMA Social Media Academy, webculture offers an online academy for digital marketing and social media. Target groups are marketing specialists in companies, agencies, freelancers and job seekers. WEKA Holding purchased 75% of shares of the Wiesbaden based Forum Group in Germany, effective 2016. The French WEKA subsidiary CMT bought Formhygiène (Montpellier), which offers orientated training and safety data sheets for companies operating in the chemical industry sector. By January 2017, WEKA Holding (Kissing) took over all shares of the Industriemagazin Verlag, a Vienna publisher specializing in professional journals.
