On April 10, Rakuten Kobo released the industry’s first color E Ink e-readers, the the Kobo Libra Colour and the Kobo Clara Colour.
Rakuten Kobo reps said that both devices are equipped with color E Ink "Kaleido S3" displays, which offer “a subtle palette” for readers. Kobo this week also launched a new black and white version, the Kobo Clara BW, which reps said is an “upgraded” black-and-white device.
The Libra Colour, Clara Colour, and Clara BW are now available for preorder. They will be sold in stores and online starting on April 30, and retail for $219.99, $149.99; and $129.99, respectively.
