Swallow Prior to Brazos

Brazos Press’ executive acquisitions editor Robert Hosack has acquired exclusive world rights to the tentatively titled Truth, Goodness, and Beauty as Calling by Karen Swallow Prior, who is unagented. Prior (On Reading Well, The Evangelical Imagination) will demonstrate how goodness, truth and beauty apply to everyday life, while balancing the philosophical and theological with the practical. The book will be published in summer 2025.

Nowlin Signs Glasper Phillips

Barb Roose of Books & Such Literary has negotiated a world rights deal with Nilwona Nowlin, associate editor at IVP, for the tentatively titled Press Pause: Reset Your Pace in the Path of Peace and Purpose by Karynthia Glasper Phillips. To be released in 2026, the book urges readers to spend time with God through prayer, meditation and Bible reading to experience great success personally and spiritually.

Morris Sells New Understanding of Hell

TarcherPerigree’s editor Lauren O’Neal has signed a world rights deal for the tentatively titled Hellbent by Brian Recker, an ex-evangelical and content creator. The deal was brokered by David Morris of Hyponymous. The book, set for fall 2025, is designed to help readers remove the fear of hell from their faith and rebuild a positive spirituality based on love and connection.

Revell Acquires Divorce Help

Grace P. Cho, senior acquisitions editor at Revell, has bought world rights to Courageous Divorce by Alisha Roth from Keely Boeving of WordServe Literary. Written for women who are contemplating, in the midst of, or who have recently gone through a divorce, the book offers practical guidance and support for the difficulties of ending a marriage, as well as hope for healing, and a vision for the abundant life that can come after. Publication is planned for spring 2026.

Reshaping Abortion Response

Angie Dawn Weszely, CEO and co-founder of ProGrace, which seeks to reshape the Christian response to abortion by modeling Jesus, has signed a world rights contract with Al Hsu, associate editorial director (trade) at IVP, for the tentatively titled Becoming ProGrace. The unagented author offers a new response to abortion that leads with grace in our communities. Publication is set for fall 2025.

Brazos Takes Justice Title

Morgan Strehlow from The Bindery Agency has negotiated world rights with Katelyn Beaty, editorial director for Brazos Press, for the tentatively titled A Just Gospel by Joash Thomas. The Fall 2025 release by Thomas, national director of mobilization and advocacy for International Justice Mission Canada, offers tangible steps for churches to learn from their majority-world neighbors and pursue justice together.

Transportation Key to Bible Stories

Linda Howard at Tyndale Publishers has acquired world rights to Let’s Go Bible Adventures by Valerie Ellis. Written for ages 2-5, Let's Go Bible Adventures uses modern-day, transportation-themed items such as cars, trains, cement mixers, boats, hot-air balloons, and tractors to engage children in reading Old and New Testament Bible stories. Carolina Farias will illustrate. Publication is scheduled for early 2025. Annette Bourland at Bourland Strategic Advisors represented the author, and Mela Bolinao at MB Artists represented the illustrator.
