The Gaithersburg Book Festival, which will have its third outing in the metro Washington, DC area May 19, has added a number of panels and discussions this year to augment its lineup of author presentations. A Look at The Future of the Book and Bookstores will feature agent Rafe Sagalyn, publisher Sam Dorrance, and Lissa Muscatine, co-owner of Politics & Prose on a panel moderated by PW co-editorial director Jim Milliot that examine the issues facing the industry in the digital transition. Washington Post critic Ron Charles will interview author Stewart O’Nan on another panel, while Post journalist Ian Shapira will talk with Chris Pavone about hit bestseller The Expats. Other panels include Separating Fact from Fiction and Anthology of Women Writers Presentation.

About 100 authors will be on hand to discuss their latest titles, including Buzz Bissinger, Marvin and Deborah Kalb, Jim Lehrer, John Feinstein, and Steve Coll. More info about the festival is available at www.gaithersburgbookfestival.org.
