Penguin Press to Publish ‘Hillaryland’

The Penguin Press acquired world rights to Hillaryland by Lissa Muscatine, former chief speechwriter for Hillary Clinton. In it, Muscatine draws on her 25 years of working with Clinton to reveal the struggles the former Secretary of State and her tight-knit team of female advisers faced “at the intersection of politics and gender dynamics,” according to a press release.

Muscatine, who co-owns Politics and Prose Bookstore in Washington, D.C. with her husband, “has intimately witnessed events that define who we are culturally and politically in a changing America through her close association with Hillary Clinton,” according to Ann Godoff, president and editor-in-chief of The Penguin Press.

Godoff acquired Hillaryland from Gail Ross at Ross Yoon Agency. No publication date has yet been set.
