Triangle Award Winners Announced

The 29th annual Triangle Awards, honoring LGBTQ fiction, nonfiction, poetry, and trans literature published in 2016, were presented in New York on April 27.  The Publishing Triangle, the association of LGBTQ people in publishing, began honoring an LGBTQ writer for his or her body of work a few months after the organization was founded in 1988, and has now partnered with the Ferro-Grumley Literary Awards and the New School’s Creative Writing Program to present an impressive array of awards each spring. Winners include Cathleen Schine, who won the Ferro-Grumley Award for LGBTQ fiction for They May Not Mean To, But They Do (Sarah Crichton Books), and Ocean Vuong, who won the Thom Gunn Award for Gay Poetry for Night Sky With Exit Wounds (Copper Canyon).
