Zibby Books Announces New Hires

Since launching earlier this month, Zibby Books has announced several hires across all departments. 

In addition to Zibby Owens, who co-founded Zibby Books along with Leigh Newman, new hires include:

Jaunique Sealey, best known for authoring books under the pen name Jayne Allen, has been named v-p of strategy and community. Author Maya Shanbhag Lang joins as v-p of strategy and editorial. Steph Opitz, founder of the Wordplay Book Festival at The Loft Literary Center in Minneapolis, has been appointed v-p of partnerships.

Journalist and author Carolyn Murnick has been named senior editor. Jordan Blumetti, also executive editor of Moms Don't Have Time to Write and chief content officer for Morning Moon Productions, both owned by Zibby Owens, joins as editor-at-large. Chelsea Grogan, also senior operations manager for Moms Don't Have Time To, has been named managing editor. Emily Sharp, also associate editor of Moms Don't Have Time to Write, has been named associate acquisitions editor and Diana Tramontano is editorial assistant.

Maternal mental-health advocate and licensed psychologist Chrystal Gray joins has been named Zibby Books operations manager. Two other s from Moms Don't Have Time have joined the book publisher: Nina Vargas, has been named senior marketing manager and Sherri Puzey is marketing manager.

Laura Rossi, book publicist and founder of Laura Rossi Public Relations, has been named director of corporate communications.

As previously announced, Anne Messitte, former publisher of Vintage and Anchor Books an executive v-p of Knopf Doubleday, is serving as consulting publisher.
