Hybrid Festival Neue Literatur Returns for 2021

Festival Neue Literatur will return with hybrid and virtual events from November 11-14, following the postponement of last year's festival. The theme for this year’s festival, curated by writers and translators Alta Price and Tess Lewis, is “Turn and Face the Strange.” 

Featured writers include Anna Baar, Isabel Fargo Cole, Judith Keller, Benjamin Quaderer, Sasha Marianna Salzmann, and Ivna Žic. Translators Jennifer Croft, Katrine Jensen, Tess Lewis, Sawako Nakayasu, Mary Ann Newman, and Peter Wortsman will be participating in the festival’s signature translation event, alongside Isabel Fargo Cole and 2020 Friedrich Ulfers Prize–winner Jill Schoolman.
