Well-Trained Mind Press Acquires Figures in Motion
Well-Trained Mind Press, an independent publisher specializing in educational materials for the homeschool market, has acquired Figures in Motion, a publisher that creates books of articulated paper dolls modeled after historical figures.
Figures in Motion will become an imprint of Well-Trained Mind Press, and FIM Founder and creator Cathy Diez-Luckie will join WTM Press. She will continue to oversee the creation of the historical paper dolls for which the company is known. Figure in Motion creates books of cut out articulated moveable paper dolls based on historical figures that students can assemble and play with to help them engage with history.
The publisher has added dinosaurs to its publishing program and its first new title as an imprint of WTMP will be the 2nd edition of Dinosaurs on the Move, coming in fall 2022. WTMP titles are distributed to the trade by W.W. Norton & Co.
