Hoopla Adds Open Road’s E-book Catalog

Hoopla Digital, which partners with libraries across North America, signed an agreement with Open Road Integrated Media, adding thousands of e-books and audiobooks to its app and online service. Titles such as The Color Purple, Up the Down Staircase, The Hero and the Crown, and more are now available for hoopla users to instantly access via smartphone, tablet, or computer. 

Further, Dreamscape Media, Hoopla’s audiobook publisher, will be working with Open Road to convert its e-books into audiobooks. Dreamscape Media audiobooks will also be available to public libraries physically through hoopla digital’s parent company, Midwest Tape.

Hoopla partners with more than 925 public library systems across North America to provide patrons with online and mobile access to dynamic digital content. The inclusion of Open Road titles broadens hoopla’s catalog of more than 440,000.
