Another Autobiography from Somers
Judy Quinn -- 8/25/97
Suzanne Somers's previous close-to-seven-figure two-book deal with Crown is now a three-book deal "well into the seven figures," said agent Al Lowman, thanks to Somers's decision to write a follow-up to her 1987 autobiography, Keeping Secrets, instead of the planned lifestyle book companion to her first Crown title, Suzanne Somers' Eat Great, Lose Weight, published in February. The autobiography sequel, which will be edited by Crown executive editor Sue Carswell, will cover Somers's rise to fame on the TV show Three's Company, her reasons for leaving and her real-life experiences with blended families, which mirror her current show, Step by Step. The book, tentatively titled After the Fall, is scheduled for next summer, and will be followed sometime in the future by the third book in the contract (that second lifestyle book).
