A Song Worth Singing
Daisy Maryles -- 9/1/97
Penguin has gone back to press for a ninth printing of Songs in Ordinary Time by Mary McGarry Morris, bringing the total number of copies to 1,193,000. The publisher wants ensure a sufficient supply to meet the increased demand it anticipates after Oprah airs the book-club dinner discussion on September 14, with the studio interview part following later that week. Oprah announced her eighth pick right before her summer hiatus, and the book has been plugged on the show at least once a week.
