Lerner Names New Publisher

Adam Lerner has joined Lerner Publishing as publisher. He was previously at Farrar, Straus &Giroux, where he was subsidiary rights director of the Books for Young Readers division for the past five years.
Lerner will be responsible for all imprints of the Lerner Publishing Group: Lerner Publications, Carolrhoda Books, Runestone Press and First Avenue Editions. His father, company founder Harry Lerner, will remain president and CEO.

The independent school and library book publisher also announced a number of staff changes and additions: Mary Rodgers has been promoted to editor-in-chief; David Wexler has been promoted to director of sales and marketing; Julie Mieseler has been hired as rights specialist; and Lori Asplund has been hired as publicist.
