Landoll's continues to enhance its sales and distribution capabilities. Late last year, the company announced the addition of five new sales reps, as well as an agreement to expand its sales through drugstores.

The appointment of five new reps brings Landoll's sales force up to 19, and the company expects to add more reps before the end of the year. Among the new reps hired is J Franco, who will be based in Toronto and who will help expand Landoll's distribution into Canada. Franco moved to Landoll's from Binney &Smith.

Among the four other reps joining Landoll's is Lyn Kennelly, who had been with Golden Books since 1989 and who now will be Landoll's eastern region district manager. Other new appointments are Tom Brennan, eastern regional sales manager; Scott Zinkel, regional manager for the northwest; and Michael DeMonico, regional sales manager for the mid-Atlantic states.

Landoll's has also signed a three-year agreement with Page International for that distributor to market Landoll's product to an unidentified drugstore chain. Page, which distributes watches, umbrellas and children's books and music, estimated that the deal will generate more than $10 million over the course of the contract. Page will begin providing warehousing and distribution from its Paducah, Ky., facility on January 31.
