Julie Garwood, whose books have more than 30 million copies in print, is adding to that impressive number. This week, in fact, she's represented on both our fiction list and the mass market roster, where Heartbreaker is marking its third week (copies in print: 1,267,000). According to Garwood's publisher, Pocket Books, that title, which spent seven weeks on PW's hardcover list last summer (reaching the #2 position), was "her first foray into the world of contemporary suspense." Mercy , Garwood's follow-up to Heartbreaker (its protagonist is the brother of Heartbreaker's leading man), has 300,000 copies in print. Though Garwood is not touring, Pocket has seen to it that her presence will be felt in the stores, thanks to gift boxes that included Godiva chocolates and coffee and beignet mix from Café du Monde, the famed New Orleans eatery (the latest novel is set in the Big Easy).
