Stacia Decker has been promoted from associate editor to editor. After joining Harcourt in 2004 from FSG, Decker acquired such books as Charles Yu's forthcoming Third Class Superhero.

Greenberg Rises at Basic

Chris Greenberg has been promoted to assistant editor at Basic Books. Greenberg will be acquiring titles for Basic's three imprints—Basic, Counterpoint and Basic Civitas—with a focus on African-American studies, narrative nonfiction and literary fiction.

Hire, Promos At OUP

David McBride has joined Oxford University Press as senior editor for the academic politics list. McBride was most recently at Routledge, where he was also a senior editor, handling sociology, urban studies and geography. And Nancy Toff has been promoted from v-p and editorial director of school and young adult publishing to v-p and executive editor of history. Toff has been with OUP for 15 years. Also, Stefan Vranka has jumped from advertising and promotions manager for academic humanities to editor of classics, ancient history and archeology.

S&S Children's Hires

Betsey DeJesu, Bridget Cooney and Ebony Clark have all joined Simon & Schuster's Children's Publishing. DeJesu, who arrives from Oxford University Press, has been named senior publicist at Simon Spotlight. Cooney, who was most recently at Penguin Group, has been named director, demand planning/forecasting & inventory. And Ebony Clark, a recent college grad, has been named production assistant.

Haut Up at RH Children's

Judith Haut has been promoted from v-p and executive director of publicity at Random House Children's Books to v-p of communications of the division. Haut, who joined the company in 1994, has worked on campaigns for Christopher Paolini, Ann Brashares, Barbara Park, Carl Hiaasen and others.

Dao Joins Krupp

Chris Dao has joined Krupp Communications, a PR and marketing firm, as publicity director. Dao was most recently a publicity executive at Warner Books.

Isaacs to Bloomberg

Stephen Isaacs has been named executive acquisitions editor at Bloomberg Press. Isaacs, who'll be spearheading the expansion of Bloomberg's professional and trade programs in a number of categories, arrives from McGraw-Hill's Chicago branch, where he was an executive editor.
