Sesselberg joined S&S in 2007 where he focused on sales within the educational and academic markets and to corporate customers. In recent years, he worked closely with the publisher's library and educational marketing staff to grow its Freshman Year Experience business, and worked with distribution partners to bring digital books to the school and academic markets.

Sesselberg is survived by his wife, Abby, and sons Harry and Graham. A funeral service will be held on October 12 at 11:00 a.m. EST at Trinity Episcopal Church in Southport, Connecticut. In lieu of flowers, an educational fund is being established for his children.
