Former New England Booksellers Association president and American Booksellers Association board member Daniel J. “Dan” deLellis, 76, died on March 17 after a long illness. DeLellis is best remembered as the book director of the Harvard Coop in Cambridge, Mass., where he worked for 38 years. After he retired, he worked at The Paper Store in Acton for 11 years.
DeLellis’s funeral will be held from the Bedford Funeral Home (167 The Great Rd., Bedford) on Saturday March 23 at 8:00 a.m., followed by a funeral mass in St. Michael Church (90 Concord Rd., Bedford) at 9:00 a.m. Interment will be in St. Bernard’s Cemetery in Concord. Funeral home visitation can be made on Friday, March 22, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Southern Maine, Gosnell Memorial Hospice House, 180 Route One, #1, Scarborough, ME 04074.
