Chronicle Books has sent a letter to its independent retailers offering special terms to help them cope with the impact of the new coronavirus on their businesses.
Effective immediately, Chronicle is giving indie retailers an extra 5% discount and 90-day dating on its standard 10 unit minimum for bookstores. The offer applies to all independent bookstores and gift stores.
The details of the promotion are as follows:
- 10+ units = +5% discount AND net 90; extended dating only for customers in good credit standing
- All orders ship free freight
- Valid now through June 1st
- Valid for titles published before May 31st
- Applies to all Chronicle Books, Galison/Mudpuppy/Lacroix, Laurence King, Princeton Arch. Press, Creative Co., Twirl, Quadrille, and Hardie Grant titles.

Chronicle noted that at this time, and for the foreseeable future, it “has plenty of inventory and can ship immediately.”
