Wattpad, an online writing community aimed at consumers reading on mobile devices, announced the hiring of Candice Faktor, Charles Chan and Ashleigh Gardner.
Faktor has been named general manager at Wattpad and was previously co-founder and v-p of coporate development at Torstar Digital. Chan has been appointed Wattpad’s new head of engineering and is formerly the director of core systems at Kobo. Gardner has been named head of content. She was formerly director of content management at Kobo.
A spokesperson for Wattpad said the community now has a staff of almost 50 employees.
