Lia Ronnen has been appointed publisher of Workman imprint, Artisan. Ronnen, formerly associate publisher and executive editor, replaces Ann Bramson, who will now acquire books across Workman imprints in the newly created role of executive director, special projects. Both changes, announced by Workman Publishing Company president Carolan Workman, are effective as of September 2.

Bramson, who began at Artisan in 1995, will now develop a "broader spectrum of properties" for Workman, while continuing her work with Artisan authors. “Lia is an amalgam of everything one could want in a publisher: editorial vision, graphic sensibility, and sales and marketing savvy," said Bramson. "I have an extraordinary successor in place and can now explore some unorthodox concepts and formats that I have been eager to develop for a long time."

Ronnen joined the company in 2011, and in that time has worked on lifestyle titles such as Design Sponge at Home, The Flower Recipe Book and series, The Kinfolk Table, and Remodelista.
