Longtime literary agent Simon Green has been tapped to head the book and publishing division of Abrams Artists Agency. Green was, until last Spring, an agent at CAA.

Green, who has been working independently since leaving CAA, has worked in publishing for over 27 years; he joined CAA in 2009 and has worked with such author-celebrities as Jimmy Fallon, Andre Agassi, Jim Gaffigan, Lupita Nyong’o, Viola Davis, Paul Feig and Eric Bogosian. He will be based out of Abrams' New York office.

The partners at Abrams said that Green "represents the level of agent we know will support our growth within the industry. The publishing world is robust, and he has an incredible eye for talent along with a collaborative spirit that will add to our teams and across the board. We feel fortunate to have him join us at this incredible time of growth and change at the Agency.”
