Happy New Year! I hope the post-holiday reentry was as painless as possible for everyone. We’re ramping up here at PW for a big year and have a lot of changes on the way, some of which you’ll see in this issue—including the first phase of a revamped news section and a new back page we’re calling Endnotes. We’ve retired the Soapbox column and have moved our annual listing of industry events and awards to the web, where it now lives as a handy calendar you can subscribe to. (Check it out at publishersweekly.com/calendar.)

As always, our goal is to provide you with information, analysis, and resources to help you do your job better. The changes to our coverage are meant to further that mission and to make sure PW is serving you as best it can no matter how you read us, whether in print or online. We also love hearing from our readers about what’s working or what we can do better. Feel free to get in touch with me at jsegura@publishersweekly.com.

Thank you again for being a PW reader. There’s a lot more coming that we’re excited to share with you. Stay tuned, and may 2024 bring you only the best—and a lot of bestsellers.
