While numerous publishers are looking for, and wondering, whether they can find their own erotica title to ride the success of Fifty Shades of Grey, one imprint is claiming to have landed something that taps directly into a fan base fostered by E.L. James's bestseller. Penguin's Berkley imprint says it has a Fifty Shades-like hit in the self-published e-book Bared to You by Sylvia Day.

The book, which features a steamy affair between a young woman and a dominant man (a la Fifty Shades), is selling 1,000 copies a day, according to Penguin, since Day released the e-book original on April 3. On Thursday, Berkley will release a revised e-book edition of Bared to You with revised cover art that the imprint said will "speak directly to the Fifty Shades of Grey audience." The imprint will release a trade paperback edition a month later.

In a release about the book, Berkley said: "Readers continue to fall for Day’s story and recommend the book to other readers via reviews at online retailers as well as reader community sites like Goodreads, where nearly 2,500 reviews have been posted in less than two months."
