Mark Owen's No Easy Day: The Firsthand Account of the Mission That Killed Osama Bin Laden has been moved up to a September 11 pub date by Dutton, and the publisher has revealed an extensive publicity campaign. An interview with Owen will air on 60 Minutes on September 9; he will appear on the Today show on September 10; and he will engage in a 60-city radio satellite tour from September 11-13. At present Penguin has no plans to change the publicity effort despite the fact that Owen's identity was revealed by the Associated Press and Fox News. No Easy Day, which is touted as the first first-person account of the planning and execution of the Bin Laden raid, is already up to #1 on Amazon and is #15 on the Kindle bestseller chart. Penguin has moved up the announced first printing from 300,000 copies to 400,000.
