GalleyCat, the arm of the Adweek Blog Network covering the book publishing industry, has closed after a decade of operations. The site's editor, Dianna Dilworth, and writer, Maryann Yin, announced the news in a blog post on Friday, December 16.

"We are sad to report that we are closing the book on GalleyCat," Dilworth and Yin wrote. "We hope that you’ll continue to support authors, publishers and book stores, who will continue to need your support in 2017 and beyond."

The site was one of nine in the Adweek Blog Network, a group of nine industry-focused websites covering social media, advertising, news media, and radio. GalleyCat's mission, as per the Adweek Blog Network website, was "seek out the latest digital and print publishing trends, reveal new books on the horizon, and discover authors who might be the next big thing."
