Knopf has expanded its cookbook publishing program with the formation of Knopf Cooks, executive v-p and publisher Reagan Arthur wrote in an email to Knopf staff. To head the unit, Lexy Bloom has been promoted to editorial director of Knopf Cooks.

Bloom joined Vintage and Anchor Books in 2004 as an associate editor and became senior editor at Alfred A. Knopf in 2019. At Knopf, she has acquired and edited a wide range of titles with a focus on international literature, and began acquiring and editing cookbooks and other food-related titles in 2010. Bloom also works with the Julia Child Foundation, where she manages Childs’s backlist and recently republished Edna Lewis’s In Pursuit of Flavor.

Knopf Cooks will also be fully supported with a dedicated editorial, publicity, and marketing team and to that end Arthur announced a number of promotions: Tom Pold is now senior editor, reporting to Lexy; Sara Eagle has been promoted to associate director of marketing; and senior publicist Sarah New will handle publicity.
