My Healthy Church, the direct-to-church distributor and publisher of church resources owned by the Assemblies of God denomination, announced the November 1 launch of Salubris Publishing, a custom book imprint for Christian authors.

The Assemblies of God is partnering with Excel Publishing, the new self-publishing POD division of Charisma House. With its own high-speed typesetting software, Excel has the capability of typesetting, formatting for print and e-books, and printing books within 24 hours of an author uploading a manuscript. The 66-million-member Assemblies of God is one of the largest denominations in the world, providing Excel with a significant customer base early in its operations.

Steve Blount, v-p, publishing and production for My Healthy Church and co-publisher Susan Blount of Salubris, said in a statement, “We have been looking for a partner to work with us to create a custom publishing solution that we did not have the resources to complete on our own.”

Salubris will offer authors services in three tiers of packages, including options for book Web sites and social media promotions. The imprint will publish fiction, nonfiction, and children’s books, primarily for the AG audience but with trade distribution when appropriate, as well as distribution to Latin and Central America; translation into Spanish also will be an option.
