Max Lucado’s 40th trade title, Unshakable Hope, debuted at #3 on our Religion Nonfiction Bestsellers chart after launching at the Museum of the Bible in Washington, D.C. on August 6. The event was streamed live online by over 250,000 fans, according to Lucado’s spokesperson. For every book sold during a pre-order campaign sponsored by Thomas Nelson, a special ministry edition was donated to the Salvation Army and Prison Fellowship International. Lucado also made radio and television appearances including spots on Rick & Bubba, Fox News Radio, and Moody Broadcasting, and The TODAY Show.

Also new to the list, Love Life Again: Finding Joy When Life is Hard by Tracie Miles came in at #10. The book, which features personal stories about suffering and quotes from Scripture, was selected for Proverbs 31 Ministries' online Bible study from September 4 to October 5. Additionally, marketing and publicity for Love Life Again included advertising on Amazon as well as in Christianity Today, PW, and Christian MARKET.

The newly released three-in-one collection of Wanda Brunstetter’s Daughters of Lancaster County series, which was recently adapted into a musical entitled Stolen, broke the top 10 in Religion Fiction. It features a new cover based on the musical and discussion questions.
