Independent audiobook producer RBmedia announced the appointment of Megan Dobson to publisher of the company's ChristianAudio brand on Tuesday. The news follows the departure of the brand's co-founder Cory Verner in July.

In her new role, Dobson is responsible for acquiring all content for ChristianAudio, managing relationships with partner publishers, agents, and authors in the Christian market, and overseeing ways to grow the brand. Dobson joins ChristianAudio from HarperCollins Christian Publishing where she worked for nine years, most recently as the associate publisher for W Publishing, the nonfiction trade imprint of Thomas Nelson.

Troy Juliar, CEO of RBmedia who served as interim lead on ChristianAudio, said in a statement that the goal of the company is to become the industry's leading producer of Christian audio content with help from Dobson.

“We are investing aggressively in this category and are in the strong position to serve audio fans and partner with leading content creators in the Christian market," he added.

Dobson noted that ChristianAudio provides Christian publishers with a strong partnership opportunity. "I’m excited about our vision for the future of ChristianAudio and the potential to reach a growing, broad audience of Christians looking for content that inspires them to think about God, themselves and the world," she said in a statement.
