Os Guinness Signs for Two with IVP

Social critic Os Guinness has sold two books to InterVarsity Press. The first, The Great Quest: A Thinking Person’s Search for Faith and Meaning, will be released in January 2022, and the second, tentatively titled Signals of Transcendence, is set for November 2022. The world rights deal was brokered by IVP’s Al Hsu and the literary agency Wolgemuth & Associates. According to Hsu, “The Great Quest describes the journey toward faith and [the second] tells stories of people who have found their way to God.”

Johnny Agar Sells His Life Story

Matt West of Dexterity Books took world rights to The Impossible Mile: The Power of Living Life One Step at a Time by Johnny Agar with Becki Agar (his mom), with the Foreword by Olympian Michael Phelps. Johnny Agar, who has severe cerebral palsy, gained international attention when he walked a mile in his church’s 5K. Since then, he and his dad Jeff have partnered in countless races, including the Ironman World Championship in Hawaii, which was chronicled by NBC. Tom Dean of A Drop of Ink negotiated the deal for the book that be published Sept. 14.
