IVP announced the February 2024 launch of a new imprint, IVP Bible Studies, which will focus on studies of scripture through the lens of a theme. Each study includes six to eight weeks of readings, discussion questions, and resources for group sessions, video teaching, and individual study. The inaugural title, Upheld: Meeting Our Trustworthy God Through Isaiah—A 6-Week Bible Study Experience ($18) is by Kori de Leon.

IVP’s executive editor Elissa Schauer, who is heading up the new imprint, tells PW: “We believe that there are lot of folks not connected to a church who would benefit from this content, so we've designed these studies to be not only appropriate for a church Bible study or Sunday school class, but also for a small group of friends to gather weekly, and also for individuals.”

IVP Bible Studies was also born out of the success of IVP’s LifeGuide Bible Studies (LBS), a series of Bible studies first published in 1985 that, across nearly 150 titles, have sold over 15 million copies, according to the publisher. The LBS titles will now be published under IVP Bible Studies.

Additional forthcoming IVP Bible Studies titles include Moms at the Well: Meeting God Through the Mothers of Scripture—A 7-Week Bible Study Experience by Tara Edelschick and Kathy Tuan-MacLean (April 2024), Hear My Prayer: Learning from the Faith of Elijah—A 6-Week Bible Study Experience by Liz Ditty (May 2024), and Live in the Light of Christ: Radiating the Hope of the Letters of John—A 6-Week Bible Study Experience by Tara Beth Leach (June 2024). Other authors contracted for 2025 under the imprint include Dorina Lazo Gilmore-Young, Kristel Acevedo, and Ashley and Bryce Hales.
