Former Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton will give the keynote speech at the 2014 Association of American Publishers annual meeting set for March 19 in New York City.

“Hillary Clinton’s unprecedented public service has been marked by tireless commitment to improving learning, quality of life and opportunities for people worldwide. These are priorities shared by our member publishers and reflected in the high-quality works they produce,” said Tom Allen, president and CEO, AAP. “We are proud to have her address our community at our signature annual event.”

Clinton has a new memoir reflecting on her time as secretary of state coming from Simon & Schuster this year.

The theme of this year's event is “The Next Chapter in Protecting IP: Policy, Disruption, Innovation and Sustainability,” and will explore critical policy, business and societal issues facing the publishing industry.
