Hirshey to Leave HarperCollins

David Hirshey, senior v-p and executive editor of HarperCollins, will step down from his position on June 17 after nearly 18 years with the company. He will relocate to Los Angeles, where his daughter is pursuing a career as a TV writer and is soon to be married. Hirshey has commissioned and edited nonfiction books including Jane Leavy's biographies of Sandy Koufax and Mickey Mantle and memoirs by George Tenet, Sarah Silverman, and Martin Short.
