Halloween Sky Ride

Speeding to the eight o'clock Witches' Wobble, "A Grand Buffet (with skunk filet!)," Witch Mildred kindly picks up six hitchhikers. Her passengers include a hungry skeleton, a chilly mummy and a black cat who strains the broom's limits. When the riders finally arrive, the "pickleworm paté" and "spiderweb soufflé" are long gone, but their friendship perseveres as they trick-or-treat for sustenance instead. Spurr's (Farm Life ) rhyming tale recalls the cozier Room on the Broom , while Long (Oh Yeah! ) contributes goofy, good-natured characters like a jack-o'-lantern whose expression changes depending on the mood.
