This month, Michelle Argyle at Melissa Williams Design reimagines the cover of Log Off: How to Stay Connected After Disconnecting by indie author Blake Snow.

Design Note #1: Using bright yellow for the title not only helps the book stand out but also helps inject warmth and optimism into an other-wise cold cover.

Design Note #2: I loved the digital-looking title of the original cover and decided to keep that digital feel in the subtitle.

Design Note #3: The first cover is all about staying connected to others, yet it feels cold and distant. I fixed this problem by including the human element of a hand pressing a power button.

Design Note #4: All-white covers run the risk of getting lost on white screens, so I decided to go with a dark blue background that really stands out.
