Design Note #1: The subtitle of this book is so important to its marketability that it was essential to make it larger. The pink box helps draw attention to it, as well.
Design Note #2: Don’t under-estimate the power of typography. The font on this cover is what really pulls it together. It is bold and unassuming, giving the cover a more confident flair.
Design Note #3: The author wanted a more artistic flair to the cover, so using vector artwork seemed like a natural choice. This style is also popular right now.
Design Note #4: Since the book has a very personal angle to its content, I felt it best to humanize it more with the image of a woman.
