Last month, author Nic Stone set out on a seven-city tour in honor of her first middle-grade novel, Clean Getaway (Crown, Jan.), which follows a biracial boy named Scoob and his white grandmother on a road trip across the South. Much like the characters in her book, Stone made stops in Atlanta, Birmingham, Memphis, Jackson, New Orleans, Houston, and Dallas. We’ve gathered a selection of highlights from the events.
