For her seventh novel for middle graders, Hummingbird (Scholastic), Natalie Lloyd set out on an eight-city tour earlier this month. Her events included book signings, live readings, conversations about the novel, and the opportunity to meet readers. (Despite following protocols, Lloyd tested positive for Covid back home before setting out on the last leg of her tour, and her final appearance, at Anderson’s Bookshop in Downers Grove, Ill., had to be canceled.) We've gathered tour highlights below.
