S&S’s Simon Pulse imprint has picked up world rights to a teen adaptation of Rhonda Byrne’s bestselling 2006 book, The Secret (S&S/Atria), slated for release on September 15. Like The Secret, The Secret of Teen Power will center on the “law of attraction,” but will focus on applying it to teenagers’ friendships, schoolwork, self-image and relationships. Paul Harrington, who was a producer of the 2006 film version of The Secret, has written the adaptation, which will have a 500,000-copy first printing. It will also be published by S&S in the U.K., Canada and Australia.

The book is being edited by Bethany Buck, v-p and publisher of Simon Pulse. In a statement, she said, “The Secret has been a vitally important book, transformational for millions around the world, and we know that sharing it with a teen audience will allow teens to live life to their fullest potential.”

With more than 10 million copies in print, The Secret has been published in 41 countries and has hit the #1 spot on numerous bestseller lists.
