The Amulet Books imprint at Abrams has just announced the fourth book in Tom Angleberger’s Origami Yoda series. The Surprise Attack of Jabba the Puppett will go on sale August 6, with a Jabba-sized first printing of 500,000 copies. In the book, the kids at McQuarrie Middle School form a rebel alliance to fight back against cuts in art and music classes, as well as a new test prep program.

Jabba the Puppett follows The Strange Case of Origami Yoda, Darth Paper Strikes Back, and The Secret of the Fortune Wookiee, as well as an activity-book spinoff, Art2-D2’s Guide to Folding and Doodlines, which went on sale in March. Angleberger recently finished a 15-city tour following the release of Art2-D2, and he will appear at the IRA and TLA conferences later this year.

“Jabba the Hutt wasn’t the feature character I was expecting,” said Angleberger in a statement. “But I think once fans read the book, they will agree that it’s hard to say no to him!”

According to Abrams, there are more than 4.1 million copies of the Origami Yoda books in print.
