Presidential inaugural poet Amanda Gorman is partnering with Caldecott Honor and Coretta Scott King Honor winner Christian Robinson for a new picture book, called Something, Someday.

The book will be published by Viking Children’s Books on September 26. A Spanish-language edition, Algo, algún día, will be released simultaneously, along with an audiobook narrated by Gorman and published by Listening Library.

Something, Someday explores how the problems of the world can feel overwhelming, but with the help of friends and faith, children can learn to overcome their trials.

Gorman, the youngest presidential inaugural poet in U.S. history, preceded Something, Someday with poetry collections The Hill We Climb and Call Us What We Carry, and her debut picture book Change Sings with illustrator Loren Long.

“I wrote Something, Someday to show that though it might be difficult, when we work together, even the smallest acts of kindness can lead to the largest positive change,” she said in a statement.

Something, Someday marks Robinson's first collaboration with Gorman. Something, Someday is a reminder that even the smallest things, like a handful of seeds, can bring about big change,” he said in a statement. “This book was an honor to illustrate and it’s my hope that it encourages young readers to be the change they want to see in the world.”
