Suri heads into the Monster’s Cradle in search of a master who is just the right size for her first tamed monster, in the second title in the Cat’s Cradle graphic novel series.

Opening Night by Elizabeth Olsen and Robbie Arnett, illus. by Marissa Valdez (Viking, June 13 $18.99; ISBN 978-0-593-35146-8). In the sequel to Hattie Harmony: Worry Detective, Hattie tries to calm her worried peers the night of a big show.

Rebel Girls Level Up: 25 Tales of Gaming and the Metaverse (Rebel Girls, June 27 $8.99 paper; ISBN 978-1-9534244-64). The latest in the Rebel Girls Minis series highlights the careers and achievements of women in the gaming industry.

A Smart, Smart School by Sharon Creech, illus. by Anait Semirdzhyan (HarperCollins, June 13 $19.99; ISBN 978-0-06-305961-0). In this companion to picture book A Fine, Fine School, a new principal who only cares for test scores bans creative classes.
