This past Monday, the Children’s Book Council announced the finalists for the fourth annual Children’s Choice Book Awards. Thirty books in six categories were selected, and through April 29 kids of all ages can vote for the winners at the Children’s Book Week Web site. Authors Cassandra Clare, Suzanne Collins, Jeff Kinney, Stephenie Meyer, and Rick Riordan are up for author of the year, while Robin Preiss Glasser, Loren Long, Nancy Tillman, David Wiesner, and Mo Willems are competing for illustrator of the year.
