As reported last month, BookExpo America, in conjunction with the ABC Group at the American Booksellers Association, is introducing its first children’s day for children’s booksellers. With this week’s launch of a dedicated Web site, booksellers can sign up to attend the inaugural ABC Children’s Institute, as it is being called, to be held on Wednesday, June 6. The fee for the Institute, which is limited to 150 booksellers, includes a seat at the children’s book and author breakfast, the speed-dating lunch with authors, and the tea with authors and illustrators, as well as the annual art auction and reception. There will be two educational sessions that focus on middle-grade readers, as well as focused roundtables. The deadline to register is May 1.
