Beginning at the 2013 Frankfurt Book Fair, through a unified global senior management team, the Walker Books Group will now handle all international sales for its three primary publishing lists: Candlewick Press in the U.S., Walker Books U.K., and Walker Books Australia. U.K. rights director Caroline Muir has been promoted to group sales director for foreign rights and co-editions; she and her six-person London-based team take responsibility for all translation rights and foreign-language co-edition deals for all titles published worldwide under the Walker Books umbrella.

Muir's appointment caps the effort by Walker to unify some functions that had been done by different units under one person. Earlier this year, Walker named Ed Ripley as U.K. sales and marketing director, handling all English-language export sales.
